Dads somehow easily get to be ‘cool.’ It comes from their ambiguity. Dads have their own lives. While simultaneously in their own little world, dads can get to be present with us.
I got lucky with a really great dad. My dad has his life, his own little world, and I get to be in it. My dad was, and is always, proud to call me his ‘mini me.’ He always will show me off everywhere. He is my biggest cheerleader - including dressing up as a cheerleader for my dance recital. He always wants to support me. He learns with me.
Dads are in their own little world and don’t always see ours.
