Compassion

Self Compassion is the only way through ambiguous loss It is the ultimate repair. We cannot ever get our missing piece back. We have to learn to not only love but accept ourselves for our current form, even while trying to repair.

I have fought for a long time to retrain my inner voice to be one of self compassion. I am not currently wired for it. I think it would require me to grow wings and fly to be able to intuitively have self compassion.

Self compassion helps us weather our losses. ‘Compassion’ means to suffer with. To have self compassion is to notice our own suffering. To have our own heart respond to the pain and discomfort we are feeling. Self compassion is how we let go. I can let go of you because I am fulfilled by myself. I am enough even with my losses.
